I am excited to be entering my first post on my blog. I do not understand fully the impact a blog will have on my classes but I am here to find out! I definitely need to incorporate more technology in my classroom. I will be teaching my 25th year of middle school science this year. My classes spend the first semester absorbed in the formulation and creation of their science project. Students are given a separate syllabus that outlines all deadlines for all of the steps on the process. The project is due in early December. This may be an excellent way to communicate with my students about their projects. I

- I have been married for 35 years. I have 2 amazing sons who have both served their country as Army field artillery officers in Iraq. Both of them played Division 1 football and continue to distinguish themselves. Martin is a 2nd year grad student at the Johnson Business school at Cornell and is currently working as an intern for the summer at Goldman Sachs. He was valedictorian of his high school and at the USMA at Westpoint. Martin and his lovely wife Michelle have two children and another one due in September. Matt is currently serving in Iraq as a platoon leader. He graduated from Ole Miss where he caught passes from Eli Manning during his football career.

ReplyDeleteDo they give you a hard time about singing the song. I made a song for helping and being verbs for my students to learn. At first they would grumble and basically say how babyish it it was. However, we use it alllll year long. Therefore, by mid-year they know it pretty well.
